WELCOME!
Welcome to the Stratford Oldtimers Athletic Association!
The SOAA has been a community partner for over 55 years honoring Coaches, Athletes, Teachers and Community Leaders for their Character, Commitment, Sportsmanship and giving back to the community.
The SOAA has several fundraising events. The biggest is the Annual Golf Outing where Rob Santo and his crew run a top-notch tournament benefitting high school graduates through our SOAA Scholarship program.
The SOAA also provides resources to the various sports programs in town through our fundraising efforts. The Stratford Oldtimers have donated time and funding for Stratford P.A.L., Stratford Pop Warner, Sterling House Community Center, Bunnell and Stratford High School Athletic Programs to name a few.
Annually, the SOAA honors Coaches, Teachers, Athletes and Volunteers for their actions on and off the athletic field at our Awards Dinner. Awards are given based on criteria in our By-Laws. Some of the criteria include sportsmanship, athletic achievement, unselfish giving of own time for the SOAA, and Leadership.
The SOAA membership continues to grow. As President, I encourage you to become a member and get involved in this great organization. Membership is only twenty dollars per year. The Stratford Oldtimers is a 501(c)3 charitable organization so donations are tax deductible. If you want to support our organization in other ways, please contact any of our Board of Governors listed on this website. I look forward to seeing you at a meeting.
Thank you,
Ron Nelson
